I have recently completed working on an exciting school's project sponsored by The Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers of London to commemorate the Great Fire of London which took place 350 years ago.
To work as an artist in residence with the Dame Alice Owens’ school has been a unique experience. In the finished work, the students incorporated historical imagery, capturing the past and imprinting these illustrations which were embedded into the final cast pieces. The interrelation of found domesticate objects were brought from the students’ homes with direct links to the historical time of the fire.
The final pieces will be on display at The Church of St Stephen’s Walbrook, London (1- 2 September 2016) and Hatfield House, AL9 5ER (3 - 29 September).
